Manchester United is on the verge of making a groundbreaking move in the South American market. According to Brazilian media, the Premier League giants have reportedly approved a deal worth a staggering R$603 million to acquire the talented midfielder Miguel Monsalve from Grêmio.

The 20-year-old Colombian has been turning heads in Brazil with his impressive performances for the Porto Alegre-based club. Monsalve's technical ability, vision, and goal-scoring potential have caught the eye of scouts from top European clubs, and Manchester United appears to have won the race for his signature.

If the deal is finalized, it would represent a significant investment from the Red Devils and would highlight their commitment to developing young talent. Monsalve would join a long list of South American players who have made successful transitions to the Premier League.

Who is Monsalve?

He made his professional debut for the club on 15 October 2020 in a 1–1 draw with Jaguares de Córdoba in the Categoría Primera A. The following year, he was named by English newspaper The Guardian as one of the sixty best young players born in 2004 worldwide
