Manchester United legend Roy Keane has shocked fans by revealing that he is not actually a supporter of the club.

In a recent interview, the Irishman admitted, "I don't support Manchester United. I don't support Nottingham Forest." Keane spent 13 years at Old Trafford, winning numerous trophies and becoming one of the club's most iconic figures. His no-nonsense approach and fierce determination made him a fan favorite, but his latest comments have left many supporters baffled and disappointed.

The 53-year-old explained that while he has a deep connection to the club and understands the inner workings, he doesn't experience the same emotional attachment as a traditional fan. "I have more of an insight with how it works at the club and the expectations, but I wouldn't say that I'm a fan – their results don't make or break my weekend. I wouldn't go home going, 'Get in there, that was a great win.' I'd be looking at it in a professional way," Keane said.

Despite his claims of not being a fan, Keane admitted that leaving United was an emotional experience. "When I left United, I did cry that morning. Cried in my car," he revealed. This has led many to question the sincerity of his statement, suggesting that his deep connection to the club may be harder to sever than he admits.

A Divided Fanbase

Keane's comments have sparked a heated debate among Manchester United fans. Some have expressed disappointment and disbelief, feeling betrayed by one of their former heroes. Others, however, have been more understanding, acknowledging that Keane's relationship with the club is complex.

"I don't support Man Utd" - Club legend Roy Keane stuns fans by confessing he's not a fan of the Red Devils but reveals he did 'cry in his car' when he left.

The Legacy of a Legend

Regardless of his recent comments, Keane's legacy at Manchester United is secure. He will always be remembered as one of the club's greatest ever players. However, his admission that he is not a supporter has raised questions about the nature of his relationship with the club and its fans.
