Despite his great season, Casemiro already knows who could be his replacement

Casemiro was one of the best players in the Manchester United team, but now he could be looking to get some competition in the team.

Erik ten Hag was let everyone know his desire to sign at least three more midfielders for the team, one of the main reasons to do that is that there are some players like Casemiro that are already 31 years old, and Ten Hag wants to make sure that he has enough players to take on the long season that the team is going to have.

Manuel Ugarte is considered to be one of the best young defensive midfielders in the world, he is just 22 years old and he has already raised a lot of interest from teams in Europe, and with his performance this season he has actually caught the eye of Manchester United, that now decided to join the race to sign him.

Despite Ugarte being considered on of the best young players in his poisiton he is only worth a total of 30 million euros, and he could be looking to make the move from Sporting Lisboa to arrive to Manchester United in the next season, and in doing so he would be competing directly with Casemiro for the starting position.

The age of some players

That is the main reason why Erik ten Hag is looking to sign young players for the team, because even if he trust players like Casemiro or Eriksen he knows that the team is going to play every weekend and almost every week they are going to have a Champions League game, and he wants to make sure that he has enough options to go all season long without any type of problem.
