The red devils are one of the team that have been included in the creation of the Super League due to the fans that they have all around the world right now.
Manchester United is one of the teams that seems to be included in the creation of the Super League, and in fact it seems that they are looking to offer at least 500 million euros for the red devils if they accept to get away from the UEFA competitions and go and create the Super League next to teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona that have already accepted the project right now.
“Our position has not changed. We remain fully committed to participation in Uefa competitions, and to positive cooperation with Uefa, the Premier League, and fellow clubs through the ECA on the continued development of the European game,” the club said in the statement that they released today, and that defines the position of the team right now.
It has been confirmed that the Premier League is also agains the creation of the Super League, in fact they confirmed that any team that actually attempts to join them would have to face a 30 point deduction on the league and they would also be fined 22 million euros per season, and that could have also acted as one of the reason why they decided to reject the project.
“European club football will no longer be a monopoly. As of today, clubs will have their fate in their own hands. Ultimately, today has been another triumph for a Europe of freedom, and for football and its fans,” Florentino Perez said back then when he decided to put the idea of creating the Super League on the table as a project that would change the current state of football.
Despite the fact that it seems that once again the Super League project might not happen due to the lack of support, it has been confirmed that they could be looking into the idea to go ahead and change the Champions League format to the traditional 32 teams.
