Though Manchester United already have their primary attacking target in sight, the club is not fully certain yet how the ongoing talks might pan out and are closely keeping tabs on their other transfer options early days of the January window.
Manchester United has reportedly decided to sign Wout Weghorst from Besiktas as their top striker following the recommendations from Erik Ten Hag for the Netherlands International who was part of their World Cup team in Qatar late last year.
Man United fans' reactions after the latest rumor of star player's exit
This is the reason why Man United are confident to seal deal
The Red Devils manager reported had a close eye on Wout as the direct replacement of Cristiano Ronaldo who exited the club last year after his contract was mutually terminated during the mid-season campaign with Manchester United.
Weghorst has been integral for the Turkish club Besiktas this season and played a phenomenal role in Netherlands World Cup in Qatar especially against Argentina in the knockout stages, which announced his brilliance to the world once more.
According to reports, Manchester United is still very much holding an interest in Barcelona's Memphis Depay who is also Weghorst's teammate at the national team level. The Red Devils consider Depay as another low-cost option for January with plenty of experience after his first spell at United.
