The Red Devils will soon continue their exploits in Europe in the coming weeks after a long break from the competition. Manchester United are set to face European giants Barcelona in the next round of their Europa League competition later this month.
Manchester United started off their UEFA Europa League campaign this season with a 1-0 defeat in Spain to Real Sociedad. It was a result that put pressure on Erik Ten Hag after his team started the season in poor form with defeats to Brentford and Brighton included.

But they wasted no time in returning to top form and picked up three straight wins in the Europa League against FC Sheriff, Omonia Nicosia home and away which put them back on track. The Red Devils all their remains games as well but fell short of the top spot by a goal difference, finishing second.
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag majorly gave Cristiano Ronaldo playing opportunities in the Europa League where he chipped in a couple of goals alongside, Marcus Rashford. Rashford is the club's leading scorer in the competition with three goals, while Ronaldo had two before his exit.
Following their second-placed finish in their group, Manchester United drew Barcelona in the knockout stage of the competition. According to the latest reports from Spain, Barcelona has now lost two key players to injury who are in doubt for the coming game against Manchester United. Sergio Busquets and Ousmane Dembele are now a doubt for Xavi Hernandez in the game, which delights Ten Hag as he gets an advantage for the fixture.
