Rúben Amorim has strongly defended Bruno Fernandes against recent criticism from Roy Keane, asserting that his opinion as manager carries more weight than that of the former Manchester United captain. Keane had questioned Fernandes' attitude, despite acknowledging his talent, but Amorim has dismissed those concerns.
"I have a different opinion," Amorim stated firmly. "Bruno is very important to us, to the club, to me. He plays well in a difficult context. He wants responsibilities. He wants to win, and sometimes it's difficult to contain his frustration."
Amorim made it clear that he prioritizes his own assessment of Fernandes. "Everyone has an opinion, but I think my opinion is more important than Roy Keane's, because I am the manager," he declared.
Amorim emphasized Fernandes' crucial role within the team. "Bruno is very important for us, for the club, for me," he reiterated. "He plays well in a difficult context."
Amorim acknowledged that Fernandes' frustration can sometimes be visible, but attributed it to his desire to win. "He wants to win, and sometimes it's difficult to contain his frustration," Amorim explained.
Amorim also highlighted the challenging environment in which Fernandes operates. "He plays well in a difficult context," he noted, suggesting that the team's struggles have contributed to Fernandes' displays of frustration.
Roy Keane had questioned Fernandes' attitude, despite recognizing his talent. He suggested that Fernandes' on-field demeanor was not always conducive to the team's success.
