Manchester United has had a lot of rumors over the last month whether it’s for outgoings or incomings. The club has been rumored to have a player at basically every position as United look towards rebuilding once again. With a rebuild comes signing a lot of players and addressing many needs. But a rebuild is not just about incomings. To have a successful rebuild you must prioritize the outgoings just as much.

Manchester United has been one of the worst clubs in the Premier League when it comes to selling players or letting them go at the right time. It’s always either they let them go for free when they could have gotten monetary value on the player a year before, or they keep them a year too long. In terms of making profit, the club struggle at that as well. A profit for the club in the transfer market is a rare occasion as the last one was Daniel James. All these are issues that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team will have to fix.

Now when it comes to outgoings this year, Manchester United are trying to prioritize players leaving before bringing anyone in. The pattern has already been set with the likes of Alvaro, Hannibal, Jadon, and Donny leaving on loan this winter. A few of those loans have buy options included in them that could make United a good chunk of change if they were to be triggered.

One of the big departures is set to be Anthony Martial this summer, but the original goal of the club was to let him go this winter. Martial’s contract expires this summer, and the club were looking to potentially sell him for the bare minimum. There were some rumors about the likes of Inter, West Ham, and Fenerbahçe that wanted the player. All hopes of that are gone now as Martial has suffered a hip injury that could potentially require surgery.

Martial’s agent on the future of his client

Martial’s agent Phillipe Lamboye went on Sky Sports to confirm his clients’ future and to United it was not the best of news. “Anthony will not leave and will stay until his contract ends in June,” Lamboley told Sky Sports News.
