The red devils have the need to go ahead and get some better results, and now this player could really help them to do just that in the near future.

Erik ten Hag opens up about Sir Jim Ratcliffe's presence at Man United game

Manchester United main concern now is the fact that they have to find consistency for the next part of the season, and this could be the real issue for the team that is looking not only for better results but also to actually go ahead and secure the fact that they have what it takes to end the season at the top four positions in the Premier League this season.

“The substitution doesn’t make sense to me whatsoever and I was very, very happy to see that reaction,” Schmeichel said when he was asked about Rashford, now that the player was not happy to get subbed off in this past game, now that taking into account that he was able to score a goal and to have a connection with Hojlund in the goal that the young striker scored.

Schmeichel added, “I know it sounds a bit silly that I’m saying that, but I was very, very happy because like to many people who care for Manchester United, we’ve started to question his desire, does he really want to be there? We’ve seen games where his body language has been so bad." and Rashford could really help the team now.

“For him in a game, I thought he played okay today. There was something different about him today, I think the little link-up with [Rasmus] Hojlund was brilliant, it created two goals. For him to have that reaction after being taken off was brilliant, it was nice to see a little bit of, ‘Why has he taken me off?’ I like that.” Schmeichel ended on the reaction of the player.

Marcus Rashford role

Even Ten Hag said at the end of the game that he was really happy to see the game from Rashford and the fact is that he could really improve to help the team get some better results in the second part of the season right now.
