A compromise has been reached, though, with the Saudi Pro League club set to rearrange the two games against Shanghai Shenhua and Zhejiang, which were penned in for Wednesday afternoon and Sunday respectively. Ronaldo, left Old Trafford under controversial circumstances 13 months ago.

He promptly signed for Al-Nassr and has totted-up 38 goals in 44 outings for them. The squad will remain in China to train - with Ronaldo watching on - while a revised date for the matches is determined. Ronaldo said: "As you know, in football, some things you cannot control. I have played for 22 years and I'm a player that doesn't have too many injuries. So I'm really sad because Al-Nassr and myself have come to China to enjoy the tour and I have been coming to China since 2003/2004, so I feel at home here my second home.
