West Ham United will once again be without Lucas Paquetá and Michail Antonio through injury when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, manager David Moyes has confirmed. Paquetá, who was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City last summer, has missed each of the Hammers' last three matches with a calf injury. He last featured in the 1-1 draw with Bristol City in the third round of the FA Cup on January 7.

Ten Hag is already thinking about Man United's next game and updates on injuries. The Brazilian has been a key contributor to the Londoners' attacking play this season, racking up five goals and six assists in all competitions. He provided an assist in the Hammers' 2-0 win over United at the London Stadium two days before Christmas. As for Antonio, he is making progress in his recovery from a knee injury, but Sunday's trip to M16 will come too soon for him. He has not played since the Hammers' 3-2 win over his former club Nottingham Forest on November 12.

"It's a really quick turnaround from Thursday's game," Moyes conceded, speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday morning. "We're getting ourselves back together quickly and hopefully everyone will come through okay. "There's no more update in terms of injuries. We're still dealing with the lads who are injured.

"We've not had any more from the medical team to suggest that [Paquetá] is going to be back. He's been out for a few weeks and I don’t think he’ll be back for this weekend.

The recuperation

"Michail Antonio is coming on a bit more. He's running on the grass now. He's not worked with or trained with the team but he’s training outside. I couldn't give a projected return date at this moment though."
