Some signings from the last market are not performing as expected.

Manchester United is going through a somewhat turbulent time. After an incredible comeback against Aston Villa in the last Premier game that saved Erik Ten Hag's 'head', the Red Devil team wants to continue gaining sporting stability.

Even so, there are players who arrived in the last transfer market who are not measuring up. One of these cases is that of Sofyan Amrabat. The Moroccan midfielder arrived from Fiorentina on loan, despite several rumors that placed him in other big European teams.

Amrabat, a physically strong midfielder, with a lot of ability to steal balls and a true worker on the pitch, who has not quite taken off in Manchester United's scheme.

One of the reasons for his poor performance lies in the high pace of play in the Premier League and the lack of a companion in United's midfield. Some structural problems of the 'red devil' that directly harm the Moroccan footballer.

The status of the “purchase option”

Given this, several English media suggest that Manchester United will not exercise the purchase option on Amrabat when this season ends. According to 'Sky', the English sports management is looking for a different profile to fill his position. The return of Sofyan Amrabat to Fiorentina would mean a step back for the player's career, which after the excellent 2022 World Cup he played seemed like he was going to break it in the following years.
