Manchester United manager Rubén Amorim has poured cold water on speculation linking Jadon Sancho with a return to Old Trafford next season.
The English winger joined Chelsea on loan in January with an option to buy at the end of the season, following a difficult spell at United. However, questions have been raised about Sancho's future beyond the current campaign, with some fans suggesting a potential return to his former club.
When asked about the possibility of Sancho returning to Manchester, Amorim was clear in his response. "No, no. I'm very focused on this season. We have a lot to do and a lot to improve," he said. "We need to win games and then we'll see about next season."
Sancho's move to Chelsea has been seen as a chance for the winger to rediscover his best form. The change of scenery could be just what he needs to reignite his career.
However, it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will take up the option to buy Sancho on a permanent basis. If they do not, the winger will return to Manchester United at the end of the season.
Manchester United are in the midst of a rebuild, and the club's hierarchy will be looking to bring in new players who can help the team to challenge for trophies once again. It remains to be seen whether Sancho will be part of those plans.
