Marcus Rashford was part of the players called up by the England national team head coach Gareth Southgate for the recent 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Rashford alongside his club captain Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw made the Mundial in Qatar.

Prior to the call-up, Erik Ten Hag's managerial prowess was earmarked in how he helped Rashford rediscover his best self after a poor campaign last season. Rashford only scored five goals in the entire season and United had to rely heavily on Cristiano Ronaldo.
