United fans have been in a worrying state of mind for a few weeks now following the club's reduced attacking threat after they decided to mutually terminate Cristiano Ronaldo's contract at the club following his actions that shocked the club.
Ronaldo was on the receiving end of the board's fury following his shattering media interview that took the world of football by storm and left many puzzled as to how this came to be between both parties just 18 months into their new relationship.

Erik Ten Hag was called out by the former player about his attitude and poor handling of the situation that involved both parties despite his claims in the media that Ronaldo remained a key part of his plans at the club.
The club legend's action was believed to have forced United's hands in deciding to terminate his contract despite their lack of an instant replacement for him just midway into their season campaign. His dismissal has now urged United to move forward with several options they had in sight.
According to reports, United is exploring all possible options to bring in a transfer target in the winter transfer window. The club is reportedly gearing up a move for Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid following recent confirmation that the club is willing to let him go now. A bid of around 100 million euros is expected to acquire him, either by an outright buy or by loan with a mandatory buy option.
