One of the most talked about positions is that of the goalkeeper, Manchester United has not yet decided who will be André Onana's understudy, so several players in that position still do not know what role they will play, nor if their future will remain within the team, so the coach must give a solution soon as the start of the Premier League is getting closer.

One of the cases is Dean Henderson, who has been in the hot seat for a few weeks, the Red Devils had received an offer from Nottingham Forest, however, the English club no longer showed interest after United rejected the offer for the player, so to date there has been no interest from another team to take the goalkeeper.

In fact, during pre-season, Erik Ten Hag did not even give him a chance to start a single minute because he was coming back from a thigh injury, and when Henderson returned to training, the coach had already signed André Onana, so he was going to give priority to the Cameroonian goalkeeper to get him ready for the friendly matches.

This certainly made it unclear to Henderson what his future at United would be, as the England keeper had hoped he could at least have a reserve role, but Ten Hag still has his sights set on signing a substitute who can adapt to the manager's system of play.

Dean Henderson will get another chance

Despite being uncertain about his future, Dean Henderson could get a second chance at Manchester United, as goalkeeper Tom Heaton injured his calf during training and will be out for the first few weeks of the season, opening up the opportunity for the England goalkeeper to prove that he deserves to at least be on the bench and keep his place in the team.
