Anthony Martial has been linked with a move away from Manchester United ever since the summer. However, it is now being reported that he will stay at the club if he can prove his worth to Erik ten Hag. The French forward began his career at Lyon, before signing with AS Monaco in 2013. He played 70 games for Monaco, scoring 15 goals.

Martial will have to work hard to earn a spot in the team this season, with competition for a place expected to be fierce. With Jadon Sancho, Antony, and even Cristiano Ronaldo, the french striker will have to show Ten Hag what he is capable of. But it seems likely that he will be given a chance to prove himself at Old Trafford.

Red Devils' search for a new midfielder continues, a Lazio player is on the agenda

In 2015, he moved to Manchester United and so far he has scored 81 goals and assisted 51 times in 271 appearances for the club. Martial was a member of the France national team that won the UEFA Nations League in 2021. Right now he is battling for a spot in the French national team that will try to defend the World title in Qatar.

Which teams want him?

Sevilla was impressed with what Martial did when he was loaned back this year's January. There were even talks about a permanent move to the Spanish team but no agreement was reached. Even Valencia has now joined the race to sign the striker. But with ten Hag preferring him over Cristiano Ronaldo, Martial could prove he deserves a spot in the starting lineup of the Red Devils.
