Manchester United owners announced recently that the club was up for sale as they seek more ways to leverage the club's assets across all levels in a bid to sell to the bidders. The Glazers' decision came hours after the club decided to terminate Cristiano Ronaldo's contract.

The Portuguese star was sent packing from United as a reply to his mind-blowing interview that saw him take swipes at the club's structure. Ronaldo called out Ten Hag for his inconsistency with his intentions toward him, amongst other things which subsequently triggered his release from the club.

Neville, who once played for United had previously jumped on the topic surrounding Ronaldo's media interview. Neville who also played for United was very critical of Ronaldo's comment about new manager Erik Ten Hag, whom he believe is doing a great job of leading United.
