David de Gea left the team in the end of the season, it was Erik ten Hag decision not to renew his contract, and now the player has had some repercution inside the dressing room of the team.

Sources close to David de Gea have confirmed that he might be close to join his new team in La Liga, and those same sources have confirmed that he might be leaving to the Real Betis team, but now it seems that there are still some effects of him leaving Old Trafford and the decision of Erik ten Hag to force him to leave the team by not renewing his contract.

It has always been confirmed that David de Gea wanted to stay with the red devils, and in fact he was ready to take a massive pay cut, some sources believe that he was ready to go down from his 20 million euros per year down to 10 million euros, and it seems that has caused for some players to be uncomfortable with the current manager.

Now it has been reported by “The Daily Mail” that there are several players in the starting line up that feel that Erik ten Hag treated the keeper in a very bad way, and that the only reason was to bring the player that he wanted, Onana, when De Gea still had talent to at least be the back up keeper of the team, in fact some players are still fuming.

One of the main reasons for this to still have a lot of impact in the red devils squad is because it has been confirmed that David de Gea was one of the most popular members of the squad, and they where a lot of players that really liked him and know the true love that the spanish keeper had for the team and for the fans.

David de Gea role

Now it seems that David de Gea was also one of the leaders of the team, and that has caused for the players to ask Ten Hag for a better treatment towards them.
