David de Gea wanted to join some of the most important teams in Europe in this transfer window, but now he has been rejected by the german team and the reason does not come as a surprise to the Manchester United fans.

First David de Gea wanted to join Real Madrid in this transfer window, with the spanish team suffering from an injury of Cortouis put them in a really urgent situation where they needed to sign a new keeper no matter what, and after David de Gea offered himself to the team, he was rejected almost right away and now could be looking for some other options.

Then it was reported that Bayern Munich also wanted to sign a keeper that would play if Neuer was not as fit as the team needed for the next season, and David de Gea also puts himself as one of the main options to arrive to the team, but now it has been rejected that there is a really important reason why Tomas Tuchel vetoed the move to happen at all.

Sources like “Bild” have reported that the main reason for David de Gea to being rejected by the Bayern Munich team is that the spanish keeper wanted to get a much more higher salary than what they where ready to offer to him, in fact the same source reported that the amount was at least 50 per cent higher and that would have cause the deal to not happen.

David de Gea salary

The fact is that Bayern Munich did not wanted to spend more than 125,000 on a salary to sign David de Gea in this transfer window, and the spanish keeper was looking to get somewhere between 200,000 and 250,000 euros per week, making the deal to be off.
