David De Gea has been in the media eye for the last few days, the Spanish goalkeeper still has not defined his future at Manchester United, and Erik Ten Hag has made even more confusing statements that put in doubt the whole situation about De Gea.

The Dutch technical director first informed the Spanish goalkeeper that he was not part of the team's plans because he was in the last year of his contract, which made Ten Hag start looking for new options for his replacement; the player who was chosen is André Onana who is currently playing for Inter Milan, for whom the club has already made an approach and is preparing an offer.

A few days later, Ten Hag let De Gea know that he would no longer be looking for a replacement, the reason being that he preferred to spend the budget money on other positions than goalkeeper, therefore, United would have offered him a new contract with a salary of 325,000 pounds a week, this enthusiasm to David De Gea, who signed without any major problem.

But today, as a final update, Manchester United reportedly did not sign the contract and withdrew the offer, and warned the Spanish goalkeeper that if he wanted to stay at the club, he would have to take a further pay cut; this did not go down well with De Gea who immediately tweeted an emoji of a yawning face, which left all the fans intrigued to know the outcome of this story, which apparently is nowhere near its end.

David De Gea's possible destinations

The Manchester United goalkeeper's future hangs in the balance, his departure from the club could leave a very difficult gap to fill, even so, De Gea still has a lot to show and being a free agent on July 1, the teams that would be interested in signing him are: AC Milan, Tottenham and Inter Milan who could transfer their current goalkeeper André Onana to Manchester United.
