David De Gea has revealed some things about the early days of the season under the new manager.

Manchester United have been in safe hands for years as they scaled through a tough season with a reminder that they have a world-class goalie in David De Gea. United fans around the world have can remember several moments where the Spaniard has kept them in games.

When Erik Ten Hag took over in the summer, he was clear of his preference for David De Gea ahead of Dean Henderson who was eventually sent on loan to Nottingham Forest for the rest of the season. His decision to back De Gea has been repaid several times this season with his outstanding saves.

De Gea has been United's most consistent starter this season under the Dutchman and has gradually begun to rediscover the old self that saw him win United player of the season for a few years in a row. He has risen to top form but missed out on the Spanish World Cup list.

The 32-year-old goalie is currently in his final year with United as his current contract expires in the summer of 2023 and has been kept in a rather frustrating situation regarding it by the club as they're yet to address his situation. Nonetheless, he has kept delivering for the club this season.

According to reports, David De Gea admitted that because the team had a new manager and a few new players, it took them a little time to get used to the new philosophy. He added that since then they improved drastically and are more excellent now.
