Manchester United is in a complicated situation. Alarm bells are ringing at Old Trafford due to the team's poor performance in the early part of the season.

With the fifth round of the Premier League approaching, United had a breather during this international break. Nonetheless, with recent issues involving Antony and Jadon Sancho pressing to leave the club, Erik ten Hag's team wants to approach the match against Brighton in the best possible way.

Clearly, not all news is bad. At the moment, everything seems to indicate that the Dutch manager will have the new signings in optimal conditions, including Rasmus Hojlund, Sergio Reguilon, and Sofyan Amrabat.

The replacement for Antony on the right wing remains a challenge, but media outlets like Manchester Evening News and The Sun anticipate that possible replacements could include Bruno Fernandes, Facundo Pellistri, Jadon Sancho himself, and even, although less likely, Mason Mount. Nevertheless, it seems that Ten Hag is looking for options outside of Manchester United.

The possible replacement for Antony?

According to The Daily Mail, Carrington is considering the signing of Anwar El Ghazi, who is currently a free agent. After terminating his contract with PSV, the Dutch midfielder could be an option to strengthen the right-wing position left by Antony, as it wouldn't involve additional expenses. Many fans of the team have expressed frustration with the former Ajax boss because they feel he doesn't give opportunities to the young players in the current squad. However, as Laurie Whitwell from The Athletic reports, United is not interested in the player even though their agents made the proposal to the board.
