Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag was left bemused after his star player, Cristiano Ronaldo fired back after him in United's three nil win against FC Sheriff in the Europa league. The manager had recently recalled Ronaldo back into the first team after suspending him for his refusal to come on as a late sub in their win against Tottenham.

Ronaldo was seen to have walked down the tunnel while the match was still on, prompting wild reactions for United fans over the incident. Ronaldo was then forced to training alone as his teammates earned a draw at Stamford Bridge via a Casemiro's goal. Ten Hag then welcome the club icon back into the first team and straight into the attack against FC Sheriff.

Cristiano Ronaldo took the opportunity to remind Ten Hag of his immense quality despite his age, by scoring two goals against Sheriff, one of which was ruled out as offside. Ten hag paced on the sidelines as United relentlessly dominated every aspect of the game and Ronaldo leading the charge. A first lead by Diogo Dalot, was further extended by Marcus Rashford in the second half.

As the clocked winddown at Old Trafford, Ronaldo did what he does best by scoring a third for the red devils to seal a comfortable win at home. The goal was surely a statement aimed at his manager who has rarely given the Portuguese  a start in the Premier League. The goal marked Ronaldo's second goal in Europa league as United continue to improve under Ten Hag.

Well, the Dutch man is expected to have more pondering to do after seeing Ronaldo's top performance last night, as many fans are clamoring for the star player to be selected in United's next game in the Premier
