When manchester United sought after Erik Ten Hag, there was a general belief amongst fans the club was going to require heavy investment to build the kind of team that will help their manager achieve the target of returning United to its prestigious position in club football.

Shortly after Ten Hag's signing, United began their transfer plans and chased a host of top players from top clubs, so of which were delighted to come to United like Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Antony dos Santos, and even Casemiro from Real Madrid.

Some outrightly rejected a move like Frenkie De Jong of FC Barcelona, despite the Ten Hag factor. The United manager recently stated his satisfaction with the new additions to his team and hinted at the need for more quality signings to take his team to the next step.

United are rumored to be ready to spend heavily in January on a few positions with Jude Bellingham a consideration for the midfield, a new right-back to compete with the consistent Diogo Dalot, as well as a striker to add more firepower to their attack, which has been bleak in recent weeks.

HAS THE SUMMER SIGNINGS IMPROVED UNITED?

Ten Hag firmly believes that the summer signings have brought in much needed fighting spirit and energy to the squad, with the likes of Lisandro Martinez shunning up the defense, Eriksen adding more creativity from the middle of the park and Casemiro exuding brilliance week in week out.
