Erik ten Hag has make some moves to decide on the next striker for Manchester United, not everybody is happy.

Erik ten Hag knows that he needs a world class striker to compete for the Premier League title and for the Champions League in case they qualify to it.

Thinking of the next season the need to sign a striker has been showed in the recent games where the team has been unable to score a goal in the last 180 minutes, first in the game against Brighton and then against West Ham, both matches ended in a 1-0 defeat for the red devils.

At the moment the two players that ten Hag uses for that striker position varies between Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst, both of them were set to leave the club by the end of the season, Martial destiny could be in Saudi Arabia where they are offering him a contract of 25 million euros plus bonuses, and Weghorts loan is coming to an end this summer.

Wout Weghorst loan is coming to an end and in the previous week the information was that the club was not going to renew the striker from the Netherlands, but most recently there has been talks inside Manchester United that could make Weghorst stay in the team for at least another year.

The budget problem

The decision to keep Weghorst at the team may come due to the fact that the budget for the transfer window is still unknown to ten Hag, the team is currently working with the idea that they might get 100 million if the Glazers stay at the team, but if the new owner comes to the team the budget might increase, but as of right now a decision has not been made to sell the club, so there is no way that they can be sure they will have a bigger budget.
