Now it seems that Jonny Evans could have a very different role at Manchester United.

The fact is that it was a surprise for everyone the game that Jonny Evans had with the red devils in the last game of the team, and that could have change his role as well.

Some sources have confirmed that Jonny Evans has really impressed everyone at the red devils team, the reason being that when they decided to sign the defender back to the team, it seems that the main idea was to have a defender that could bring a lot of experience to the team, while playing little to no time in most of the season, but now that could be ready to change.

The fact is that there are several sources that have confirmed that now the red devils manager, Erik ten Hag, has decided to go ahead and talk directly to Jonny Evans, asking him to be ready to take a more important role, and that they would be ready to put him a lot more time in the games of the season for the red devils.

In fact there are some sources that even believe that the red devils office is now working to offer Jonny Evans a new contract, where he would receive a salary upgrade, a new salary that would go more in line with his new role at the team, with the hope that he can stay healthy and become a leader on the defense of the team.

This new role for Jonny Evans has come for the reason that the red devils office believe that the injuries of Varane and Martinez could be a problem all season long, and that could force for the team to put their hopes in the 35 year old defender that would be ready to accept that role with the team for the rest of the season.

Jonny Evans future

Despite his new role some sources believe that is going to be hard to see Jonny Evans in the team for the next season, meaning that his new contract could only last until the summer of 2024, hoping the sign some new defenders as well.
