The world football governing body FIFA has broken Cristiano Ronaldo's heart over national team claims.

Manchester United fans haven't had much to celebrate recently after their club was thrown into turmoil following Cristiano Ronaldo's interview that sent the club spiraling to salvage the situation just as the season halts for a six-week break due to the World Cup.

Erik Ten Hag was a majority reference in Ronaldo's interview which saw his former player discredit his claims in the media about how highly he rates Ronaldo when he does the opposite at every given opportunity this season.

With his exit from the club, United fans were finally able to concentrate on their players playing at the World Cup including Ronaldo's national teammate and under star, Bruno Fernandes. The pair have been terrific for the Portuguese side since the start of their campaign.

In Portugal's recent 2-0 win against Uruguay in their second group stage game, the first goal has generated a bit of controversy as to who might have scored it following a very tight margin of determinant. Bruno scored again much later to seal the win.

WHAT DID FIFA DECIDE AFTER PORTUGAL'S CLAIM?

The Portuguese team had earlier stated that they would provide FIFA with evidence to back their claim that Ronaldo scored the first goal of the game. FIFA has now responded to the Portugal federation request clearly stating that the technology confirms that Ronaldo did not score the goal as he did not have definitive contact with the ball to claim the goal. Meanwhile, the pair are not bothered by the situation and are rather focused on the next game
