Manchester United fans were heartbroken a couple of weeks ago during the 1-1 score draw with Chelsea at Stamford saw them lose of their top players. It was a feeling of utter disbelief and shock as they saw him get subbed off during what was the best run of form.
Erik Ten Hag kicked the ground in frustration over the incident as he empathize with the injured Raphael Varane, who was inconsolable at the time as he worried about how bad the result might be when he gets the test done.'

The test result ruled him out of any United return league resumption in December and made him a doubt for the World Cup as well. Ten Hag then had to rely on a new makeshift center-back pairing of Lindelöf and Lisandro Martinez for the rest of their games before the season was halted.
Raphael Varane, fortunately, returned in time for France's World Cup call-up and made the list that jetted to Qatar. Despite his return to full training before France's first game, Didier Deschamps refused to use him and subsequently started him in the other group games.
The Frenchman is reportedly back to the top level in recent days and even started France's third group stage against Tunisia which they lost 1-0. Varane turned in a good performance that is expected to convince Ten Hag and his backroom staff of his fitness level as he continues to progress with France at the Mundial.
