Manchester United have not had a good time since Ferguson's departure

All United fans must remember with great joy the historic moments we witnessed under the best manager in history, Sir Alex Ferguson, under whom we won everything, we were the kings of Europe and we had one of the best squads of the time.

It is true that, at that time, the price of players was not as inflated as it is now and Manchester United could afford to have the best players available at that time. Another very important factor that has influenced the evolution of modern football has been the arrival of the sheikhs at the different English clubs and around the world, which have brought a very strong financial injection.

One of the clearest examples is our neighbours and fierce rivals, Manchester City, who since the arrival of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed have spent 2,006 million on players, which means that there is more money on offer for players and their value has risen exponentially.

But our Manchester United is not far behind, which, thanks to its history, achievements and popularity enjoys a good financial theme and 10 years on from Sir Alex Ferguson's departure as Reds manager, the club has spent a massive 1.4 billion on new players, which is surprisingly little success compared to the Ferguson era.

City's hegemony in the Premier League

In the last 10 years the hegemony that United enjoyed over the Citizens has been disappearing as our neighbours have been doing things better, signing players like Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland and others who have been able to perform well in English football, while the Reds have not been able to have the same stability and long-term project as when they had it under Sir Alex Ferguson.
