Manchester United had 14 players called up to the World Cup by their different national teams as they compete for the most illustrious trophy in world football. Erik Ten Hag's mean had been in great form in the build-up to the call-ups.

Gareth Southgate was quick to call up club captain Harry Maguire, alongside Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw to his starstudded England team. Maguire has been subjected to bench duties by his club manager but was backed by his national team manager.

Rashford is the most in-form United player in the league and has been crucial to the following of their week. His goals have been important in helping United get much-needed results when his fellow attackers were misfiring. While Shaw has been the undisputable left-back choice for Erik Ten Hag.

Harry Maguire has so far had the most impact of the trio in Qatar as he has turned in two worthy MOTM performances despite narrowly missing out on the eventual winners. Shaw was phenomenal in game two against the USA and took the award home while Rashford has been a great impact sub for Gareth Southgate with a goal on his first game in their 6-2 win over Iran. The trio is set to start the Three Lions' final group game today.
