He was part of the squad for our last Premier League title

The 2012-2013 season was the last one in which our Manchester United was crowned champion of the Premier League. In that edition, the Red Devils won the trophy and conquered English football for the twentieth time and now, a player who was key to the title could end his career due to injury.

That Manchester United squad had great players like Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Rio Ferdinand, with whom we managed to dominate the Premier League from start to finish, as we finished 11 points ahead of Manchester City. Moreover, that great team was under the direction of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, making it one of the most memorable seasons.

Today, most of those players who led us to glory are retired, and only a few remain playing at the professional level. One of the great joys of those years at Old Trafford was undoubtedly the Mexican striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, who with his extravagant scoring ways won the hearts and trust of Ferguson, his teammates and the fans.

In that great 2012-2013 season, Chicharito scored 10 goals in the Premier League, being the ideal revulsive of Robin van Persie, who won the scoring title that year. The Mexican striker was one of the most prolific players during his successful stay at Old Trafford, scoring 59 goals in total with the Red Devils. He currently plays for LA Galaxy of the MLS.

The injury that could end Chicharito's career

Chicharito recently went off injured in an MLS match. The Mexican striker suffered the injury that is the nightmare of all professional players, as his club announced that Hernandez has a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament that could jeopardize his career, because at 35 years of age, it is not easy to recover from such an injury.
