After signing Mason Mount, Manchester United have been on an arduous search for their first-choice goalkeeper, and now that André Onana has been unveiled as the club's new signing, as well as being a player that Ten Hag has been asking for, rumours have emerged that the club are looking for a back-up goalkeeper with the same qualities as the Cameroonian and although there are several options at goalkeeper, the manager is looking for a specific player.

As we know, the pre-season started already a fortnight ago, United have been struggling in the matches. During the first few games Ten Hag gave young players and those who don't get much playing time during the season a chance to prove that they deserve to earn a place in the team; although he didn't have Onana as his first choice goalkeeper at the time, he was giving other keepers a chance to see if they could stay at the club.

One of the players who was waiting for that moment to show his skills is Dean Henderson, although he was coming back from a thigh injury he was hoping to get the chance to play at least a few games but now with the signing of André Onana, who has started the last two games, it looks quite complicated for Henderson to even have a place in the squad.

As if that wasn't enough, Ten Hag recently reported that they were looking for a back-up goalkeeper and, because of Henderson's characteristics, he was immediately ruled out, plus he has recently been involved in a possible transfer, so his time at Old Trafford could be coming to an end.

Ten Hag is looking for a replacement

Ten Hag would plan to sign a young goalkeeper, with whom he can make a project for the future, so he would be preparing an offer of 3 million euros for the Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, which United has been following for more than 6 years, the player of American origin but Japanese descent, participates in the professional league in his country and although he is only 20 years old, he has been able to have several minutes with his team, so Ten Hag would be close to signing him
