He's no longer needed, Manchester United ready to snatch top talent

Erik Ten Hag has seen enough of his quality and has his mind made up ahead of the summer window.

Erik Ten Hag has seen enough of his quality and has his mind made up ahead of the summer window.

Like every youngster at United, Scott McTominay broke onto the scene at Old Trafford with so much vibrance as an 18-year-old prodigy with the world at his feet. His debut came against Arsenal in May 2017 in an away league fixture. He went on to score United's 2000th Premier League goal against Norwich City in 2019.

The Scottish-born midfielder impressed former United manager Jose Mourinho in his breakout season and won Mourinho's player of the season award. His versatility made him a huge asset under Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, becoming a first-team regular.

But things have been quite different this season under Erik Ten Hag as he has drastically fallen down the pecking order at United, especially with the summer signings of Casemiro and Christain Eriksen. The quality and experience of the two midfield addition leave little room for him to get a consistent run of games.

A recent long-term injury to Eriksen was meant to give McTominay his chance to impress Ten Hag. Sadly, his situation got worse as he also picked up an injury that has seen him miss out on the last few matches for United, which has sealed his fate at the club.

Will Declan Rice join in the summer?

According to the latest transfer reports, Manchester United are ready to move in for Declan Rice in the summer as they've decided to let go of McTominay. The 24-year-old West Ham captain has been on United's shopping for some time now and they are ready to be Arsenal to his signature despite their favorites tag. David Moyes recently declared that Rice's transfer will be a British record, which means it will require over 100 million euros to sign him.
