It wasn't Ten Hag, the player who convinced Sergio Reguilon to join Manchester United

Manchester United's board was able to sign three reinforcements on the last day of the transfer window on 1 September, and all these moves will undoubtedly help the team's performance, which during the first weeks of the tournament has shown deficiencies that have caused the club to suffer two defeats in four games. 

One of the reasons for this not so good performance by the team, could be due to the long list of injuries that the club has suffered during these weeks, as they have been important players in the scheme of Ten Hag, who will not only miss a couple of games but a considerable time, so we know that it takes work to adapt to the situation and the Red Devils will have to improve as the campaign progresses. 

One of those players who arrived to cover the position of an injured player was Sergio Reguilon, as we remember in a training session prior to the game against Nottingham Forest, Luke Shaw presented a muscle discomfort, so he had to be examined by the medical staff who ended up revealing that the defender would miss 10 weeks, for that reason the Spaniard emerged as one of the options to strengthen the defence. 

For his part, Sergio Reguilon arrives as part of a loan deal with Tottenham until the end of the season, however, the Red Devils have the option to terminate the contract in January, so the Spanish defender will have to prove that he deserves to be at Old Trafford and that the coach can think about a long-term term with the player. 

Reguilon's reason for joining United 

The Spanish defender was presented last Friday 1 September as the fifth reinforcement of the season, in fact he was able to make the trip to London to face Arsenal with the possibility of making his debut, although that could not be possible, even so, just during an interview the player revealed the reason why he had chosen Manchester United, so Sergio Reguilón commented that David de Gea had helped him in the process and this is what he said about it: "I spoke a lot with David and he told me about the club. He told me that you are coming to the best club in England. the people here, the training ground, the stadium, the fans, everything. he only has amazing words for Man United.
