Manchester United have been looking for ways to keep making moves during this transfer window, the club has been able to strengthen, but at the same time they have not been able to generate money from the sale of players, so now it has become one of the objectives before the season starts to at least make a couple of sales that will allow the team to have more room in the budget.

For that reason, the Red Devils and West Ham have had a long relationship during the summer, as first Erik Ten Hag wanted to strengthen the midfield looking for one of the players of the moment as it was Declan Rice, the club was in several talks with the player to make the move a reality, however, in a surprising change of negotiations the British player decided to go to another team.

Arsenal got into the talks and paid more than £105 million for Rice, a record figure for an English player, so United were left with no options to reinforce, even so, after more than a month since this failed signing, Ten Hag could recover some of the lost money as West Ham are now very interested in two players from the club.

Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay are the players David Moyes is keen to sign for this season, as the Red Devils have made it clear since early summer that both players were not in their plans for the future, so negotiations could take a turn in Ten Hag's favour.

United could take advantage

West Ham are coming off the back of a poor season, finishing below mid-table and after losing one of their most valuable players, David Moyes is desperate to strengthen his squad and spend the £105 million sale of Declan Rice, which is where Manchester United could come in and take advantage of the situation by giving Ten Hag a bigger bankroll with the sale of the two players the London club are keen to sign.
