The red devils have set the goal in the Champions League, but after the last result it definitely seems really hard to believe that they are going to get past the group stage.

Manchester United hierarchy set some goals for Ten Hag before the season started, and now it seems that they could be looking to go ahead and have to see how good the red devils or how close they are to complete those goals, because that could really change the season for the team and for the manager that are looking to get this great results for the team now.

One of those goals was to get pass the group stage in the Champions League, but with the last game in the competition it seems really hard to believe that the red devils might have the chance to achieve that goal, especially if they need to win the last two games and hope that they get some results in their favour as well to have a chance to complete that goal.

"In terms of Manchester United and Newcastle, there's a good chance they may not even have Europe in the second half of the season. They could quite easily finish bottom of their Champions League groups so they wouldn't even go into the Europa League." where some of the words from Carragher that believe that both teams might not get pass the group stage now.

Carragher added, "If you back over the last 12 months since Unai Emery came in, if you are talking about Man United, Aston Villa are a better coached team than Man United. There is absolutely no doubt about that." and it seems that the pundit is not happy with the way that Erik ten Hag has worked with the team so far.

Erik ten Hag future

On the bright side it seems that Erik ten Hag and the red devils have had some really great moments in the games so far, and that could really help the team to gain more confidence and eventually being able to hold that for the whole games.
