In a shocking and groundbreaking run of events, Manchester City was charged with tens of multiple charges of offenses against the English Premier League over the last 14 years following the breaking news across social media and media outlets yesterday.

The publicly revealed charges were the result of the Premier League's four years investigation against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side, over breaches of financial rules between 2009 to 2018. The Premier League stated in their official statement that they had referred the results of the investigation to the Premier League commission for further action.

Manchester City followed suit by denouncing the charges leveled against them while demanding the investigation carried out by an independent body, where they hope to prove their innocence on about 100 allegations of financial misconduct.

Sky Sports revealed that City alleged breaches ranged from operations to issues of coaching and players' remunerations, transfer market business, and the club's lack of cooperation with the Premier League over some aspects of the investigations. Both parties will be opportune to tender their case in front of an assembled committee in a private hearing.
