The triumph of last Sunday might still be mesmerizing for United fans but Erik Ten Hag and the United board have their other concerns after the Carabao Cup success. The plans for the summer improvement are already being made by the club with Ten Hag's approval.
The Dutch manager has a hands-on interest in the club's transfer plans and is rumored to be a key part of his agreement when he was brought in as the club's manager last summer. Ten Hag gave the approval for the club's pursuits of some of his current players.
He was quite adamant about the signing of Lisandro Martinez which saw United outbid Arsenal for his signature. Likewise the club's record fee for his former Ajax player Antony Santos, who also joined United in the summer alongside Casemiro, Eriksen, and a few others.
According to the latest reports, the Manchester United manager has given his approval for the pursuit of Frenkie De Jong once again. The Red Devils have decided to rekindle their interest in 25-year-old Netherlands International and Barcelona midfield playmaker.
The Barcelona midfielder reportedly cost around 80 million euros despite Barcelona's desire to sell. The club is still ridiculed for its financial struggles this season following their loss to United in the Europa League knockout stage. Ten Hag has been a huge fan of De Jong since working together at Ajax a few seasons back and believes he will be a fundamental piece to his Manchester United team.
