It only took him a few minutes to become one of the most wanted players in the Premier League. Ethan Nwaneri (15 years old) made his professional debut just last week with Arsenal. He came on as a substitute in the last minutes of the match against Brentford and set a new record. We might say is unbreakable.
He is now the youngest player to ever played a professional football game in England's top division. Previously Fulham's striker Harvey Elliot (now a Liverpool player) held the record. He played a few minutes for Fulham in the ELF Cup when he was 16 years old.
Manchester United will battle Chelsea and Liverpool to sign this player
This is why Man Utd are the most expensive buyers of the last decade
Nwaneri's debut surprised more than one, and when Arteta was questioned about the decision, he only said that he had the feeling it was time for the young Englishman. However, from inside Arsenal they report that he did it due to the interest that the other teams already had for him.
He can't have a professional contract with any club yet, he can only stay in the arsenal academy for now. It won't be until he turns 17 that he can sign a contract with a professional team. It will be up to him to decide whether to continue at Arsenal or move to Manchester United (or anywhere else).
