Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag have been very intentional toward their current squad both on and off the pitch as they continue to build the new era. The uniform agreement between the board and the new manager is to help United head in the right direction.

During Erik Ten Hag's presser after joining the club, he addressed some cogent issues regarding the available squad and what his dream team at United would possess as well as a potential key player for his new-look side. The Dutch did mention a few names that he'd love to work with which included Marcus Rashford

With an exit almost guaranteed, it took the persistent efforts of Erik Ten Hah to change Rashford's mind after telling him about his plans for the Englishman. Rashford quickly adapted to the demands of his new manager and has been reaping the results with several top performances to his name so far.

The 25-year-old England star has been living it all on the pitch this season and even earned a World Cup call-up for the Three Lions at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he was their leading goal scorer. But off the pitch, there's a tricky situation about him.

WHAT DID MANCHESTER UNITED DO TO RASHFORD?

Though he has been in terrific form, Marcus Rashford has a contract that is set to expire in 2023. The England international hasn't hinted at any desire to sign a new contract which has triggered the club to act fast about it. According to reports, Manchester United is ready to trigger the one-year contract extension clause in his current contract in a bid to buy more time to get home to sign a new deal.
