With the Red Devils' business for the winter transfer market already concluded, their attention has shifted to their summer targets despite still being in January. The Red Devils brought in a goalkeeper and a striker to increase their squad depth till the end of the season.
Manchester United completed two acquisitions in a matter of days after the rumors of their interest emerged in the media. The club brought in Jack Butland to provide cover for David De Gea after Martin Dubravka was recalled back by Newcastle. While Wout Weghorst was brought it as the new striker to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Red Devils made several changes to their team in the summer after they let go of several talents to bring in new ones that will fit their new manager's football style as well as bring more quality to the side. The club invested about 200 million in the summer for new additions.
Manchester United signed Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and a few others with two players, Lisandro Martinez and Antony Santos coming in from Erik Ten Hag's former club Ajax. The Red Devils were linked with other several players as well.
According to the latest reports, Manchester United still holds huge interest in Ajax star Jurrien Timber and could move for him in the summer. The Red Devils also tried to pry him away from Ajax last summer but the Dutch giant rejected their interest, stating that he was not for sale last summer.
