Manchester United fans are joyous as former player could rejoin team

Manchester United are currently on the lookout for new additions to their squad as the plan for league resumption in late December. The team had seen a lot of new players come on board after the managerial changes in the summer.

Erik Ten Hag was backed with adequate finances to sign his targets to fill up areas in the team that was lacking. Nonetheless, the Dutchman wants more of the same in the coming windows to fully build the squad to his taste and preference.

With Cristiano Ronaldo now out of the club, it's now mandatory that the club brings in an extra attacker in the winter transfer market, to ensure they get to achieve their set out targets for the month. A former United player, Memphis Depay is reportedly poised to move back to Old Trafford.

According to reports FC Barcelona is open to mutually terminating Depay's current contract with the club which would make him become a free agent. The financial struggles of Barcelona have also forced them to consider this route to save some cash.

It is believed that Erik Ten Hag is a huge fan of the Dutch striker, whose first stint at the club was ridiculed for poor performances from him. But he has since then developed into a potent number nine, plus plenty of experiences at his beck and call. Depay is almost open to a potential switch back to Old Trafford, a place he once called home.
