Manchester United began to experience changes within and around the club towards the end of last season when the club reassessed its strategy and came up with a brand new one as they planned for this season and the future.
Erik Ten hag was their number one target to mark the new beginning at the club, as the Dutchman called an end to his three highly decorated years at Ajax for the giant task at United. He went on to shuffle and bring in his desired backroom staff.

A new team was swiftly assembled as the club let go of many to bring their desired type of signings to champion this new phase in their history. Huge fees were spent on the acquisition of talents like Lisandro Martinez, Antony Santos, and even Casemiro.
The team was essentially overhauled for Ten Hag to begin assembling his type of players. The flurry of addition didn't threaten David De Gea's position in the squad, at least for the season as the club wasn't willing to spend more than their 200 million euros transfer budget.
Though Erik Ten Hag has backed him this season, David De Gea's future at the club looks over as the club is reportedly interested in signing Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach who is ready for the Premier League challenge. United is ready to scoop up the Swiss international on a free in the summer.
