Manchester United are set to welcome West Ham United to Old Trafford in what is expected to be an exciting test of Erik Ten Hag tactical prowess against David Moyes as they eyes the gap between themselves and Manchester City. The Red Devils will be looking to provide another mouthwatering performance again at home in front of their fans.

United recently edge closer to the top their Europa league group following a easy three nil win over FC Sheriff, with goals from returning Cristiano Ronaldo, Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rashford. The win extended their good run of form across all competition to seven games since their heavy loss at the Etihad in early October.

With local rivals, City just a few points ahead of United in the league standing, as Ten Hag plans to close the gap by a further three points today in a must win game at home. A win will take the Red Devils fifth position on the log and just six points behind the arch rivals who won the Premier league title last season with a comeback in their final league match.

A win against the physical Hammers will provide a huge boost to United as we wind down to the World Cup, which start in a couple of weeks. Raphaël Varane is certainly a big miss for Ten Hag preferred centreback partnership but club captain, Harry Maguire is expected to be recalled back into the start eleven, following a long spell on the bench.

CAN UNITED KEEP UP WITH THEIR FLYING NEIGHBOURS?

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have quite impressive and relentless in the game dominance,  which saw they run riot against the Red Devils. United have picked up valuable points against other top six contenders but City seems to be out their league for now.
