Manchester United star could miss important game after this incident

A few days ago, Manchester United was in a celebratory mood after confirming that two of their star players made it all the way to the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar after most of their players were knocked out in the quarterfinals stage.

The Red Devils fans were even more excited about the news, as their manager predicted weeks before the World Cup started that at least one of his 14 invited players could end up winning the tournaments, and currently have two players from opposing teams in the final.

Ten Hag's favorite defensive duo of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez played their part in helping France and Argentina get all the way to the final. While Martinez played a bit for the Argentine team, Varane gradually transitioned to a key player in the France team as the tournament progressed.

Varane was at risk of missing out on the tournament when he picked up an injury in the Chelsea game which created panic for fans and the backroom staff about the possible duration of the injury. He gradually worked his way back to fitness in time for the World Cup.

WHAT HAPPENED TO VARANE RECENTLY?

According to reports, the French center-back reportedly missed France's training for the upcoming World Cup final against Argentina. It was revealed that Varane has a viral syndrome  which ruled him out of the training sessions as it remains to be seen whether or not it will affect his chance of playing in the final.
