Fans in their billions across the World tuned in to watch the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar which is the first of its kind winter FIFA World Cup. Millions of Manchester United fans were also glued to their tv screens watching the Mundial during the season break.

The Red Devils fans and members of staff have been in high spirits throughout the tournament which began last month and ran for the duration of about 6 weeks as many of their first-time players were invited to participate in the Mundial.

This Manchester United star is having the best run of his life and fans love it

United saw their players join up with Argentina, Brazil, England, France, and a few other countries national teams to compete for the holy grail of football. The Red Devils had the second-highest number of invitees.

But amongst them all, only one United player was part of the winning team as Argentina got their hands on the trophy after a close miss in 2014. Lisandro Martinez played a part in their campaign after getting an invite based on his form at Manchester United.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WINNER'S TEAM?

It was a nervy final that produced goals and everything you could ever want in a football final as the scoreline ended 3-3 after 120 minutes of football between Argentina and France. Lisandro Martinez's Argentina edge it out on penalties 4-2 to seal their campaign in Qatar in style and jetted off to Argentina to celebrate. According to reports, the squad arrived in Argentina to a lively crowd of millions who were eagerly awaiting their heroes.
