Manchester United capped the end to the first half of their season with a well-deserved winner against Fulham as they prepared for the season to halt amidst the World Cup. The Red Devils saw 14 players leave the squad on international duties.
Erik Ten Hag guided the team to fifth place on the log as they eye the top four spot. The season started slow and unclear for the Dutchman after a shocking defeat against Brentford reminded Ten Hag of how huge his task was at the club.

Upon arriving in Qatar, United players have gradually stolen the headline for the national teams as they began to showcase their quality during the World Cup matches. So far Bruno Fernandes is narrowly leading as the topmost performance amongst the United lads.
He has four goal contributions for Portugal as they move to the next round. Rashford takes the second spot on the back of his elegant display for the Three Lions and has bagged three goals so far. Club captain Harry Maguire follows suit with a performance that has many questioning Ten Hag over his treatment of the Englishman.
Others with great performances as well include Luke Shaw, who like Maguire has two clean sheets and an assist to his name, Lisandro Martinez with a clean sheet as well from Argentina's win over Mexico and Casemiro's stunner for Brazil against Switzerland, and two clean sheet wrap up the list.
