Two Manchester United stars made it all the way to the finale of the tournament from about 14 first-team Red Devils players that made the World Cup list of several national teams to compete for the ultimate title in football.

United's most consistent center-back duo of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, who have kept numerous clean sheets this season, made it to the final with France and Argentina ahead of Egland, Brazil, and Portugal.

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE FINAL?

Varane started the game for France while Lisandro was on the bench for Argentina. It was a very closely matched encounter after 90 mins with a 2-2 scoreline. Both teams extended it to 3-3 in the extra time phase and had it finally decided via penalties, which Argentina won. Lisandro Martinez did not play at all in the game and was later seen embracing his club teammate Varane after the game. The duo is expected back in United in the next few weeks.
