Manchester United was the place where the Austrian midfielder spent last season, his loan move from Bayern Munich was one of the most surprising moves of last season, as some good times were had with the club and there was speculation that an option to buy the player might be validated.

However, Ten Hag decided to go in another direction in midfield after signing Mason Mount and letting Sabitzer go back to Munich, where the German club transferred him this summer to direct rivals Borussia Dortmund for 19 million euros in a transfer that was confirmed on 24 July.

Now both United and Dortmund are doing their preseason and just this Sunday in Las Vegas, both teams will face each other in the tour that the clubs are doing in the United States; Manchester United is already preparing everything to give a good exhibition and not happen to them what happened against Real Madrid.

Erik Ten Hag will have his sixth game in this preseason, with a balance of 3 wins and 2 defeats so far, so he will look to close in the best way his tour of the North American territory and continue adjusting the team for the start of the Premier League that starts in two weeks.

Marcel Sabitzer had a few words to say before the game.

The Austrian midfielder, gave a statement about the pre-season game to be played in Las Vegas and also about his time at Old Trafford and this is what he said: "I remember a lot of things from my time at Manchester United. I was very impressed to have played for a club of that stature. I had a smile on my face every day when I thought about being there and playing. Now, after failing to validate the purchase, Erik Ten Hag will once again face the player he did not want to sign this summer.
